With the creation of Chi Sigma Alpha, our nine founders chose to focus on children as our philanthropy.
Children are the future, so our founders wanted to help give them opportunities that would unlock doors. This is why our chosen philanthropies are the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the local Experimental Education Unit. Like our philanthropies, we hope to help grant wishes big and small and allow equal education to all children.
MUSIC 4 LIFE
Music 4 Life is an annual benefit show that Chi Sigma Alpha hosts to celebrate music, talent, and life. More importantly, we host it in order to raise money for our national philanthropy, Make-A-Wish Foundation® and our local philanthropy, the Chinese Information and Service Center.
Music 4 Life features acts by some of the best local dancers, singers, musicians, and more from all over Seattle. Each year, Music 4 Life grows to become bigger and better than ever. Recently, we’ve gotten YouTube artists such as Lil Crazed, Michelle Martinez, Erika David, Massive Monkees, David Choi, Joesph Vinent, and JamieBoy.
This year's Music 4 Lyfe will be the first Music 4 Lyfe since the pandemic hit and has a line up of many student talents including Dance, Singing, Strolling, and more!!
Chi Sigma Alpha National Sorority, Inc. has partnered up with The Make-A-Wish Foundation® in helping fulfill lifetime dreams of children with life-threatening conditions. Our sorority works directly with The Make-A-Wish Foundation® (Northwest Region) and aids in fundraising to help local and national children’s dreams come true.
The sisters also help prepare special care packages for the children who travel the distance for their life-long wishes to come true. In the end, the most fulfilling dream for everyone is to be able to place a smile on these children’s faces and bring some happiness and joy into their lives.
Currently, Chi Sigma Alpha National Sorority, Inc. is associated in volunteering with the ACRS - Asian Counseling and Referral Service. ACRS promotes social justice and the well-being and empowerment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other underserved communities – including immigrants, refugees, and American-born – by developing, providing and advocating for innovative, effective and efficient community-based multilingual and multicultural services.
By volunteering for this culturally inclusive organization, Chi Sigma Alpha continues to support local community integration, while fulfilling ACRS' mission.
